Christmas party catering for teams

No set menu in a back room, no seating plan. The truck stands in the yard with a fire pit beside it, and the team stands together instead of spread along long tables.

The foodtruck on an evening job

Foodtruck catering

The company Christmas party has been the same for years: a side room, a fixed menu, and a seating plan that leaves you spending half the evening with the department you have dealt with all day.

With the foodtruck it looks different. There is no seating plan, people move around, and the conversations spread out differently. For a lot of teams that is exactly the reason to do it another way once.

The cold matters less than most people expect. A hot burger in your hand, a fire pit beside you, and for three hours a yard becomes the most pleasant place on the site.

What matters

What matters at a Christmas party

Outdoors in December

The food comes hot out of the truck, and with a fire pit or a patio heater a party in the yard works in winter too. A short walk back indoors does not hurt either.

No seating plan

Without fixed places people keep moving and the departments mix. That is the difference most teams mention first afterwards.

December is tight

In the last three weeks of the year everyone wants to celebrate at once and free evenings are scarce. Planning in October gives you far more choice of date.

January works too

More and more companies move the party to January, when things are quieter and everyone is back. It works just as well and takes the pressure off December.

Get in touch
Does this actually work outdoors in winter?

Yes. We cook in the truck and the food comes out hot. With a fire pit, patio heaters or a covered area, a yard becomes somewhere people happily stand around.

Can guests eat indoors?

Of course. Many companies run the service outside and use the canteen or a hall for seating. In December that is often the best combination.

When should we enquire?

For December dates it pays to ask in autumn. The later in the year, the fewer evenings are still free, and that is true of every provider in the region.

Could we hold it in January?

Yes, and it is becoming more popular. There are more dates free in January and usually more of the team around than between the holidays.

Is there a vegetarian option?

Yes, it is a fixed part of the offering. Tell us with your enquiry roughly how many vegetarian meals to expect.

On site

What we need at your venue

We only need three things to cook at your event — but they're worth checking with your venue early.

Flat pitch

A flat, easily accessible area we can drive the truck onto.

Space required

The food truck measures roughly 6 m × 2 m × 3 m (L × W × H).

Three-phase power

A 16A or 32A three-phase power connection (Starkstrom).

Unfortunately, without the required power connection we are not able to provide the catering service. If you're unsure, ask your venue — we're happy to help you sort it out in advance.
